Commander Paul Yep was born and raised in San Francisco and currently works in the Office of the Chief of Staff, Risk Management Division. He attended Lowell High School and earned a degree in Business Administration from San Francisco State University. He joined the San Francisco Police Department in 1996, and upon promotion to Captain in 2016, Yep served as the Commanding Officer of Richmond Station, Central Station, the Staff Services Division and Northern Police Station.
