For the 2026-2027 MTAM program we will be going back to the original MTAM program.
Directors will again propose wage adjustments for their managers, one-time payments and/or ongoing wage increases. Eligibility for these adjustments is based on criteria in MEA’s MOU and funding limitations. Employees will continue to be able to nominate themselves through the self-submittal process for wage adjustments, which directors will consider in their evaluation.

MTAM Self-Submittal Nominations -
• Employees can nominate themselves for an MTAM wage increase or adjustment, using the Employee Submission Form.
• All self-submittals are due August 24 – August 28, 2026. Email to Compensation@SFMTA.com with a copy emailed to MEA as well (staff@SFMEA.com).
• Directors will be notified of their employees’ submittals and must consider these employee self-nominations for adjustments during their departmental review process.
• In order for your self-submission to be considered you must be eligible, based on the program criteria, listed below. If you have any questions regarding whether you are eligible, please contact Compensation@SFMTA.com.
Department Submissions -
• Department Directors will need to provide their submissions to Human Resources by Friday, October 9, 2026. Memo to Department Directors with additional information (and separate form for submissions) about MTAM is forthcoming from MTA HR.
