If you are an MEA-represented employee but not currently a paid member, now is the time to join.
With growing uncertainty around the City budget, hiring restrictions, staffing decisions, and organizational changes, management and professional employees must have a strong, unified, and engaged voice. MEA’s ability to advocate effectively depends directly on active member participation. Membership includes the right to vote on contracts negotiated by MEA and to participate in member surveys that shape union objectives.
MEA staff are currently planning negotiations for the Miscellaneous and MTA contracts, which will include wages, benefits, and conditions of work.
MEA-represented employees oversee major operations, infrastructure, programs, and public services across the City. The stronger our membership base, the stronger our ability to stay informed, organized, and represented during periods of significant change.
